Whatcha see is whatcha get, I pride myself on maintaining values and principles that getting harder and harder to find these days, like honesty, loyalty, understanding, and diligence. I work hard and play hard and I know what I want. I've wasted far too much time in the past trying to make previous relationships work and I have promised myself that I'd never settle again, never again sacrifice my happiness and/or contentment for the sake of trying to "make it work". At this point I'm not sure if I still believe in "soul mates", but I DO still believe that real love, while requiring compromise and dedication, should be much easier. I think relationships have to built on mutual trust and understanding. I also believe that a healthy and happy relationship must be based on more than physical attraction or lust. The feverish intensity of lust fades in time but I believe if you can form a solid friendship and communicate with your partner openly the relationship will stand a much better chance of surviving the test of time and lead to the kind of love that endures for a lifetime.
