Hi, my name is Derek. I am a well mannered southern gentleman that was raised in Georgia. I love hanging out with family and friends, and spending time with my husky Balto. I enjoy doing any outdoor activity when the weather is nice with my friends, hiking, wakeboarding, riding on the boat, fishing, and camping. I love to cook, grill outside, and try out new places to eat. I also like a night in with a good home cooked meal and a movie or TV show just as much as going out. I am looking for someone who is funny, smart, and fun to be around. I love telling jokes and never take myself too seriously and I would expect the same of anyone I am with. I am a small business owner and work very hard, but love to have fun during off hours. I am highly motivated and am always pushing the envelope of success, but it is still very important to me to have time to enjoy the little things in life and decompress.

I have a Siamese blue point cat named Ozzie and a Siberian Husky named Balto.
Blue Ridge mountains, any restaurant with good food, craft beer locations, quiet hiking trails, and the dog park with my Husky Balto. Other than that you can find me with my friends or family.
I love hanging out with family and friends, hiking, watching movies, and anything water related. I like the occasional night in on the couch with a well cooked meal as much as the night out with friends.
I am a very avid reader and mostly read science fiction or historical books.
I graduated from the Citadel, Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
