About Me:
I hear you like bad girls. Well, I’m bad at everything, so there’s that.
A little about me:
I’m an elementary education major at Tennessee Tech University. I come from a large family (sixth of seven kids!) and I’ve always been around children. As a child, I always said I wanted to be a Mommy when I grew up, which is still definitely true, but I also want to contribute to my home. I volunteered for two weeks with second grade when I was in art class, and I fell in love. Hopefully, I can teach in inner city schools and help break the cycle some.
I was in theatre all throughout high school, so you could say I have a flair for the dramatic. I’m a little over the top, and I might be described as “extra,” but I love meeting new people, I love talking, and I love being my own character, which is, to say the least, the most important character to play.
I love art. Out of eight semesters in high school, I was in it for seven. When I’m stressed out, I’ll usually paint something to help. Watercolors are my favorite medium to work with, but you can’t go wrong with some acrylics and a canvas. Take me to an art museum, and I’ll probably love you.
A few other interests include writing, playing video games, GoT (more like a tiny obsession. Who is ready for next season?!?!?), trying new foods (although Mexican and Italian are my favorite), dogs (I’ll cry when I see one), and slam poetry (sounds lame, but I love hearing the words and feeling their power. Something magical about it!)
I’m looking for someone to grow with but also to live with. If I suggested we take four days off work and go to the beach, if he could do it, he would. I want someone who indulges me like that, but keeps me in the real world too. I’m a free spirit in the market for a nerd, as Dave Ramsay would say. My ideal person is someone that knows that people don’t stay the same. I believe the downfall of a lot of “new age” relationships is that people don’t grow together anymore, they grow apart. My ideal man knows that I’m not going to be the same person I was today fifty years from now but is willing to grow and change with me. Willingness to compromise, willingness to argue/problem solve and not let things fester, and a willingness to evolve as a couple are important qualities too. A sense of humor! I love to laugh, and I love making people laugh. And above all else, my ideal person loves themselves. Because if you don’t love those yourself, you can’t love anybody else.
El Tapatio in Cookeville is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to.
