I'm a relatively new addition to Houston (born and raised in the Midwest) and made the move to Texas with my family five years ago. I'm an admissions officer at a local university, and although it keeps me pretty busy, I love the challenges that come with the work! Since I'm pursuing a career in higher ed and think that it would be cool to eventually teach, I would like to return to school for master's - and possibly PhD - work sometime in the future.

Outside of work, I'm usually spending time with my family, playing the piano/drums/guitar, attempting to improve my culinary prowess, or out familiarizing myself with all of the awesome stuff to do around the city.

There's still a lot that I haven't gotten around to doing in Houston yet, so it'd be great to find someone down for exploring town sometime!
Music: Alt rock, blues, singer-songwriter, film scores

TV: Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Parks and Rec

Movies: Drama, sci-fi (no shame in admitting that I can basically quote the Star Wars movies verbatim), animation (can't beat Disney!)
I've played one instrument or another since kindergarten, so while I'm no virtuoso by any stretch of the imagination I like plunking around in my spare time. I’m also a huge fan of all things food & cooking, and love experimenting with new recipes.
I love reading (and am also a total sci-fi nerd) and just got off a binge of the Red Rising trilogy by Pierce Brown and Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time, so now I’m looking for new a series to tackle!
