  • About Me:

Renaissance man, polymath, classical gentleman, I think of myself as these and nobody agrees. The fools! Though if I'm honest, mon français est très simple, my Latin has the pulsing heart rate of a dead language, and I'm only good at one-and-a-half art forms. But I've visited the Sistine Chapel in Rome and have a small, traveling library that isn't just my kindle, so I'm about three-quarters of the way there.

During the week, I work my dream job writing in the game industry. I love the feeling of expressing myself, collaborating with the most amazing coworkers, and watching fans react to the latest release. The messages from fans describing how our game impacted them in a positive way are the most satisfying.

During the weekend, I'm practicing my bass guitar, reading a book, or playing soccer. Jokes aside, I believe a diverse range of activities is important to cultivate the best version of one's self.

I'm looking for someone thoughtful, kind, who approaches the world with a forgiving sense of humor, who would want to walk the streets of Tokyo and visits chateaus along the Loire, someone who wouldn't mind sharing a conversation over dinner until we're told it's ten minutes to closing time.
Rush and Yes form the core of my music interests and the rest is video game music and musicals. I've started learning bass guitar because of them.
I love reading, soccer, anime, D&D, games, history lectures, political podcasts, foreign languages.
The things I do for fun are carefully curated to bring me the most joy. My average weekend will revolve around playing D&D with old college friends, reading a book, and playing soccer.
I recently finished "When Breath Becomes Air", which drowned me in feels.
With my non-fiction detour finished, I've moved on to "The Traitor Baru Cormoran", and, man, do I love economic intrigue. Debase fiat currency to stop rebellion? Yes, please.
I'm a writer for a video game. It's basically my dream job, and I love it.
I'm a bit of a North Sea mutt, but my ancestry predominantly traces back to British and Irish with a Scandinavian/Germanic flavoring.
While I wouldn't consider myself spiritual, I am a fan of secularized Buddhist meditation.
